Dawn arrived on time and was so very professional.The job was done with great efficiency .She also gave me excellent advice on building a fire so that tonight I had the best fire ever and using only a few logs .Just brilliant. I couldn't recommend her more strongly.

Dawn and Norbert installed an Ecosy+ Hampton 5 insert woodturning stove last week and did an excellent job with good humour. They arrived on time, worked non-stop all day and finished around 6 pm. Various problems arose during the day and were all overcome, including replacing a hearth which did not fit with a beautiful new slate one which Dawn sourced, cut, shaped and polished to the exact size in the front garden. Dawn is extremely knowledgeable and was able to give us an impressive tutorial on getting the best our of our wood burner at the end of the day. We love our new wood burner. Our sitting room has never felt so cosy.

Dawn and sam did a brilliant job yesterday, came nice and early, Dawn helped me remove items from the mantel and moved furniture where needed, they placed plastic coverings over everything and dust sheets over the floor and hall way, Dawn and sam took out the old small open fireplace we were using, knocked out the smaller inlet revealing the back bricks of the fireplace and removed all the rubble. Explained what needed to be done as the opening wasn’t big enough at the front respectfully & carefully cut around the existing tiles to make the opening big enough for the inset wood burner to be fitted. Thankfully there was minimal damage considering tiles are so fragile and unpredictable, I was extremely impressed with the outcome. Once the flue had been installed, the fire was fitted, we had a chat about the finishing touches to the seal around the edges of the inset frame due to the tiles being uneven, given a few really nice impressive ideas, But I was very happy to just have the sealant put round as it matched the grout, clearing away the dust covers, Dawn was wanting to use the hoover, as they leave the job as clean as they found it, I declined as They had been with me since 8 and it was late afternoon, and I was very happy to do the dusting and hoovering at my leisure, Dawn sat and showed me how to work the fire for best results. Nothing was too much trouble for them both I was very happy indeed. Seeing as I was just going to have a sweep of the chimney but was concerned that it needed a flue as gas fires being used over the years had dried out the chimney damaging the mortar, the conversation with Dawn went to possible inset fire to rather having a full opening up of the fireplace and freestanding wood burner, Can’t stress enough how pleased I am with the result, warms the room lovely Dawn with Debbie had installed a wood burner and slate hearth for us nearly 8 years ago in our back room, the fire place was already finished so no rubble and minimal mess, Dawn had come and seen the work I’d already done opening up the full fireplace and talked me through what had to go in place at the back of the fireplace to make it fireproof for the wood burner to be fitted, again a beautiful job done back then, it’s still going well. I would highly recommend Dawn to everyone she and her co worker when installing are very professional all paperwork is done she is very knowledgeable and helpful she loves her job and it’s very hard work. Was extremely helpful in getting the fireplace working properly. Dawns advice was invaluable, we now have a roaring fireplace hopefully keep those heating bills down. Would highly recommend

We've just had a new wood burner installed by Dawn (and colleague Debbie) what an amazing job. They both worked like trojans for two days - knocking out the old ugly hearth and fire surround, opening up and then installing a lovely stove. Dawn gave great advice on what to purchase . They also installed a new chimney liner and swept the other chimney and gave the old Rayburn a new kiss of life. From cutting the slate for the hearth, to climbing on the roof to sort the chimney out - and everything in between - including fixing the coffee pot!

We have used Dawn the Sweep since moving in to an old house a couple of years ago when, after Dawn inspected the wood burning stove and chimney, declared the chimney unsafe and needed relining. She was extremely professional, explained the problems clearly and what solutions were open to us, and the safety requirements needed (ventilation etc). And all without obligation to use her services for the work. On the back of this, we asked her to install a wood burning stove in another room and this she did, fitting it into an existing fireplace and lining the chimney. She carried out the work efficiently, at reasonable cost and with minimum fuss. I can't recommend Dawn highly enough; we use her services as sweep every year and she is always happy to help with any questions we have. We appreciate her no-nonsense, honest approach.
